Holidays

Man, what a week. Lois and I had all 7 of our kids here for Thanksgiving. We were blessed and had a great time. Work was put on hold except for one show at Sam's Burger Joint Thanksgiving Eve with the great Ruben V. We saw some old friends and family there and had a great time. Jessica, my 16 year old, performed my song "Butterfly" and it was fantastic. We dedicated it to my late father and it was a very emotional moment for everyone, especially she and I.

I'm looking forward to the New Year. 2009 has been hard with the loss of my Dad and my good friend, Poodie. We also lost Rusty Weir and many others that the music community will miss. I've always had better luck in even number years and 2010 is going to be uncommonly good. I've got material on scratch pad for a new album and feel more inspired than ever to make a great recording.

I really like living here in New Braunfels and I'm glad we moved. Sure, I miss the mountains, trout streams and my family and friends in Colorado but there is plenty of scenery here and I suspect most of my family will eventually end up here. We are only 45 minutes to Austin, 25 minutes to San Antonio and there is always great live music almost 7 nights a week within 5 minutes of the house. The weather and the people are great and the feeling here is good.

I'm gonna do my usual reflect on the past year soon. We have accomplished so much this year and I really feel like the luckiest guy in the world. But right now I just want to dream of what's gonna happen in 2010.

Thanks to everyone for your unwavering support. See you soon!

Jeff
